Cranberry Q&A
What can I expect on my first visit?
We are always honored to have folks visit our church and we anticipate visitors each week! As you enter the main lobby, you will receive a warm, friendly welcome from our greeters. Our ushers and greeters are happy to answer any questions you may have, direct you around our facilities, and assist you with your needs. Whether you are looking for a church home, searching for Scriptural answers to life’s challenges, planning a visit with family or friends, or just passing through our area, we would be delighted to have you as our guest!
What does Cranberry have for my children?
Sunday school classes for all ages meet each Sunday morning at 9:45 am. Our safe, clean nurseries are staffed by caring, well-trained workers who provide a wholesome and nurturing environment for your little ones. Children who are in the 1st through 6th grade will also enjoy their Sunday School classes and then an exciting Bible-centered class each Sunday morning during the worship service at 11:00 am. All departments are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers.
We also have Sunday School classes for teenagers (7th – 12th grade), young adults, couples, ladies, and senior adults. Classes in a smaller group setting provide an opportunity for a Bible study applicable to your life-stage. These classes also allow you to get acquainted with others, enjoy fellowship and build relationships. The best way to get to know people at Cranberry Baptist is to visit one of these classes.
What can I expect in the worship services?
Our main worship service is designed for God’s glory and our good! You will experience a warm atmosphere with friendly people that are excited to have visitors, whether it is your first time or first time in a long time!
The music at Cranberry Baptist is Christ honoring. We sing Scriptural, truth filled hymns of the faith, as well as newer songs written in similar style and with a solid Scriptural message. Our special music focuses on exalting the Lord Jesus and to encourage the believer. We still believe that sacred, godly music is a command of Scripture and a tool of the Holy Spirit to properly prepare our hearts for the preaching of God’s Word.
The music is always followed by a clear, helpful Bible message by Pastor Pauley. The emphasis is always on making practical applications of God’s truths to our lives. Pastor Pauley preaches the Word of God without compromise, but with the Biblical admonition of “speaking the truth in love” so that all those who hear may “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”.
It is our prayer that each of our services will speak to the hearts of every individual. We believe that a worship service should be encouraging to believers and for those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, an opportunity to trust Him as their personal Saviour.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Cranberry Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Cranberry.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
We do not invite you to Cranberry Baptist for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, and a place you can grow in God’s grace. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as our guest.
